This is a thriller due to the non diegetic sinister music and the lighting is very dull and dark which tells us that something bad is going to happen. the prop used is a real life gun and with this it already suggests to us the thriller effect because you can associate it with death and danger. there were also some really fast quick cuts and changes in the angle shots. i would give this a 4/4 as it holds suspense and this is what a thriller should actually be about.
This thriller opening shared the same qualities to the previous thriller but rather than having tension music at the beginning, this is a really way of showing us a thriller as it goes on from a happy non-diegetic sound to the middle of the scene showing suspense which foreshadows something bad happening at the end. i would give this a 4/4 as it allows the audience to believe that it will be a happy film but in effect it isnt. " not everything glittlers is gold"
This thriller was not as effective as the other two because there was no depth, the same location and the same lighting, it had no effect on the audience. It is very basic so I would give this a 2/4 although techniques were used effectively like the close up when the girl was on her phone and the jump cuts when she was walking.
